FurrowTechnik Spring 2023 Release Notes
Pre-season release, December 2022
ECU version 0.7.26
- Improved log data performance. Will impact data storage and mapping.
- Low pressure fail-safe mode. See UI update section for a description of this feature.
- Fix for mobile data connections. This should be transparent to users but may require the ECU to be returned to Dawn. We’ve addressed an incompatibility with the 4G networks and our software.
UI version 0.6.115
- Added low pressure fail-safe configuration under
Gear Icon > Configuration > Faults
This feature will be enabled by default and can be disabled by toggling the “Enable Low Pressure Safety Mode” to Off
This feature monitors the cylinder pressure of all rows, and if it detects a row with cylinder pressure Pressure Threshold
psi below the average of all other rows for Timeout
seconds, it will transition that row to manual mode. Once the row is in manual mode the system will set its downforce cylinder pressure target to the average of all other rows.
For example, here is the cylinder pressure of a 4 row system:
The average pressure across the implement is 2031 psi
. With the pressure threshold set at 600 psi
, if the cylinder pressure on row 4 drops below 2031 - 600
= 1431 psi
, the system will transition that row to manual mode:
An alarm will appear indicating that the error has been detected. Row 4 will now have its downforce cylinder pressure set to the average of all other rows. Only rows that are in automatic mode will be factored into the average.
The same behavior will be observed if a row with a defective strain gauge is detected while zeroing the row.
